New York Power Authority is seeking a Security Guard to enforce rules and safeguard facilities. Under general supervision, you will control access points, badge visitors, and conduct patrols to prevent unauthorized entry. The role includes reporting and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.
You’ll perform inspections, operate security systems and paging, and assist with emergency response. Health, clear communication, and NYS security licensing are required.
Under general supervision, as a shift or scheduled worker, enforce all rules, regulations and instructions as required to provide absolute protective security.

Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by the New York Power Authority and IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is $29.56 per hour.
