Job summary

Surefox North America Inc is actively seeking experienced Incident Commanders for its on-site security operations in California. The role requires a visible command presence, calm response during emergencies, and collaboration with client leadership to maintain safety and hospitality standards.

Candidates must hold a California BSIS Guard Card and CPR certification, be at least 18, and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Active California BSIS Guard Card and current CPR certification upon hire
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Strong customer-service and hospitality mindset with a demonstrated sense of duty of care
• Professional appearance, grooming, communication, conduct, and approachable command presence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional security report writing
• Working knowledge of Verkada, including CCTV monitoring, access control, system navigation, device-health checks, and basic troubleshooting
• Experience with incident response, security patrols, workplace reception, visitor management, and mail or package handling
• Ability to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and communicate clearly during emergencies
• Ability to work independently, accept feedback, learn quickly, and adapt to changing procedures and expectations
• Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently report to the assigned work location
• Ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Serve as a professional security representative with a visible command presence that reinforces safety, security, and hospitality
• Act as the Incident Commander during medical and non-medical emergencies, coordinating response activities and contacting authorities
• Provide lobby security while assisting employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and leadership with general information and workplace needs
• Manage visitor check-in, temporary badges, parcel deliveries, lost-and-found items, and other front-of-house security responsibilities
• Operate Verkada CCTV, access-control, alarm, and badging systems to monitor activity, investigate concerns, and support daily security operations
• Perform routine system checks, basic troubleshooting of Verkada cameras and connected devices
• Perform security patrols, monitor entrances and exits, verify authorization, and help prevent tailgating, theft, property loss, and other unauthorized activity
• Recognize unusual or suspicious activity and respond calmly, promptly, and safely in accordance with established procedures
• Prepare accurate and timely incident, investigation, activity, and shift reports, including preliminary investigations when directed
• Build positive relationships with client stakeholders and Surefox leadership while facilitating collaboration across departments
• Track and report program performance, compliance requirements, and operational concerns within established guidelines
• Adapt quickly to evolving systems, procedures, priorities, and client needs while maintaining a high level of attentiveness and professionalism
• Perform additional duties based on operational requirements, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 25 pounds

We are currently seeking experienced Incident Commanders who demonstrate integrity, professionalism, sound judgement, great sense duty of care, and strong communication skills. In this position, you will support a rapidly growing company operating at the forefront of autonomous aviation, robotics, and logistics technology. This is an innovative, people-focused environment where operational priorities and security requirement may change quickly. Successful candidates must be able to learn rapidly, adapt confidently, and integrate with the client's culture from day one. The Incident Commander serves as a liaison between the client's security leadership and Surefox regional leadership. This position requires the command presence of a security professional combined with the service mindset of a hospitality professional. You will perform all duties in accordance with client policies and procedures, and all state & federal regulations. Other responsibilities include responding to emergency events, medical & non-medical issues, and handling client requests in a timely manner with an emphasis on customer service. Under certain circumstances, an Incident Commander will be expected to initiate preliminary investigations by writing incident reports on all internal client and company issues. To be successful in this position, you must be able to handle the physical demands of the role and the activity required as part of the static or foot patrol responsibilities of the various positions. We are looking for someone who has exceptional observational skills and pays close attention to detail. We are not offering visa sponsorship for this position at this time.

Base Pay Rate: $35.00 per hour
