Job summary

The Tatitlek Corporation is seeking a Security Guard to perform a range of security duties in accordance with Federal and State laws and facility policies. The role involves controlling entry/exit points, roving patrols, alarm monitoring, and incident response, with full compliance to security procedures.

Applicants must hold a Valid DCJS Security License, a SECRET security clearance, a valid state driver’s license, and be eligible for a DBIDS pass.

Overview

Summary:

Security Guards are responsible for conducting a variety of security related duties and must be familiar with current Federal and State Laws, and NATO Joint Force Command Norfolk (JFCNF) Facilities policies, practices, and Standard Operating Procedures. Security Guards are responsible for controlling entry/exit posts; roving patrols; control, issuance and storage of keys; alarm and fire system monitoring; enforcing building rules and regulations; prohibiting unauthorized access; responding to incidents, accidents, injuries, and/or illnesses; and other additional duties as required by supervision/management. Applicants selected will be subject to a background/security investigation and must be drug free and remain drug free during period of employment.

This position reports directly to the Site Lead.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:

• Valid DCJS Security License
• Fully ajudicated SECRET security clearance
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Eligible to receive a DBIDS pass
• Knowledge of LENEL access control system
• Familiar with day-to-day operations of CCTV systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Involves long period of sitting at monitoring desks, standing at entry points, and/or walking patrols to ensure safety, may require shift work including night, weekends, and holidays

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May require lifting up to 25 pounds.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

• Ability to obtain/maintain a NATO SECRET security clearance

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
