Job summary

Associated Bank is seeking a Security Officer to manage security within an assigned branch or building, with potential to float to multiple locations. You will greet visitors, monitor entrances, and report anomalies while supporting life-safety events and escalated issues.

The role requires a high school diploma with security experience; an associate degree or equivalent is preferred. The position offers retirement plans, volunteer time off and diverse colleague resources within a large bank

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage visitor identification, screening and registration for visiting colleagues, customers, vendors, contractors and delivery personnel.
• Maintain lobby presence in branches, greet visitors and provide security oversight.
• Conduct building security checks and respond to incidents as needed.
• Maintain guard post and operate surveillance and alarm systems.
• Serve as building Office Security Coordinator and assist with location needs (e.g., parking).
• Perform routine system reviews, log errors and submit repair tickets.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols and assist with incident response.
• Assist in training and testing the emergency readiness program and conduct annual evacuation drills.
• Assist colleagues with obtaining photo ID/access to the building.

Manage security within assigned branch or building. This role may require the incumbent to float to multiple locations. Provide a strong presence and greet all people entering the building. Be aware of and report any unusual or suspicious activity. Provide leadership during escalated and/or life safety events. Assist bank colleagues with security and safety related issues.

Job Accountabilities

• Facilitate and manage the identification, screening and registration of all visiting colleagues, customers, vendors, contractors and delivery personnel. In branches, will have a lobby presence and greet all visitors.
• Conducts building security checks and maintains awareness of surroundings at all times. Responds to incidents requiring assistance, as needed.
• Maintains guard post and operates security equipment including surveillance and alarm systems.
• Serves as the building Office Security Coordinator and assists as needed with individual location needs (i.e. monitoring parking lots, etc.).
• Perform routine system reviews to ensure equipment is operating as intended. Record identified errors and submit service tickets to request repair.
• Ensure adherence to appropriate security protocol and support critical incident response.
• Facilitate and assist in the training/testing of the emergency readiness program, conducting an evacuation drill annually.
• Take photos and assist colleagues in the process of receiving photo ID/access to the building.

Education

• High School Required
• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Security Preferred
• Experience Less than 2 years Security or Law Enforcement Required
• 2-4 years Security or Law Enforcement Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive self, if applicable. by start date Required
