Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard in Elmont, NY. This part-time role offers an overnight schedule with shifts Tue–Thu, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points, support traffic and crowd-flow needs during busy periods, and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with site management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
