• JOB TYPE: **Hourly, full time, on site
• SHIFT: **Second (Swing) 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM Monday – Friday
• PAY RATE: **$18.00-$20.00 per hour

**

Ensures plant security by patrolling and guarding property. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. Monitors inbound and outbound traffic of vehicles. Serves as a first point of contact for employees, visitors and vendors. Writes reports of daily activities. Contacts emergency personnel when appropriate.

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Checks in / out all trucks for deliveries/ pickups according to established Food Security Plan
• Responsible for immediately sealing/ securing off all outbound trailers upon movement away from dock
• Checks in / out all visitors/ vendors according to company established SOPs
• Walks property perimeter hourly to ensure facility is secure and no unauthorized activity on premises is occurring
• While on rounds, verify all staged/loaded trailer refrigeration units are running within established parameters
• Signs out and releases all outbound drivers following established company procedures
• Contacts plant staff and/or emergency services as necessary and appropriate
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
• Education and Experience

• High school diploma or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to read / write in English
• Must be able to complete paperwork and forms legibly and in a timely manner
• Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
• Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies
• Must be able to communicate clearly via Phone and Radio
• Physical Demands:

• Required to sit, stand, bend , walk, and lift up to 50 pounds (waist height only)
• Must be able to enter / exit trailers to inspect or secure loads
• Work Environment:

• Primary post is in the guard shack. Frequent walking of perimeters in various weather conditions
• Exposure to elements such as odor, noise and hot/ cold temperatures
• There is a golf cart to use to drive around the perimeter of the facility
