Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to join our private security team. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and the primary line of defense for our campus. You will be responsible for monitoring access through our guard shack and conducting regular foot patrols to ensure the safety and security of our personnel and property.

Reports To: Building & Grounds Manager. Work Location: 2001 ProEnergy Blvd, Sedalia, MO 65301.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar protective role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stand long periods and perform multiple foot patrols per shift in varying weather conditions.
• Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with staff and the public.
• High level of professionalism and a clean criminal record.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

Responsibilities

• Staff the guard shack to greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and manage vehicle entry/exit logs.
• Monitor CCTV feeds and alarm systems from the station to identify suspicious activity.
• Conduct walk-around inspections of the grounds, checking doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Respond immediately to alarms or reported emergencies and assist as needed.
• Maintain an accurate daily activity log and prepare detailed reports on any security breaches or equipment malfunctions.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence, providing directions or assistance to visitors while enforcing company safety policies.

Desired Qualifications
