Your tasks will include checking identification badges, verifying visitor credentials, and controlling access points to prevent unauthorized entry. You'll also be equipped with tools such as a security badge reader, a walkie-talkie for communication, and a first aid kit for minor injuries. In the event of a security incident, you'll be trained to respond appropriately, whether it's dealing with a suspicious person, a fire alarm, or a medical emergency. The workplace will typically be a physical facility, such as an office building, retail store, or industrial site, where you'll need to be comfortable working during various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requirements for the role may include a high school diploma, completion of a security training program, and the ability to pass a background check.
