Job summary

Allied Universal, Portage, MI, is seeking a Security GSOC Operator to support healthcare facilities and offices with unarmed patrols and access monitoring. This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and high school diploma, plus the ability to follow procedures and respond calmly to emergencies.

You will conduct patrols, monitor entrances, and document incidents and shift communications, ensuring a professional presence and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• GSOC or Console experience preferred.
• Proficient with computers.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and critical situations following established protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a GSOC or Console Operator preferred
• Aplicants should be profficient using a computer
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
