Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Flex Officer in Minnesota to patrol designated areas and respond to incidents across multiple sites. The role offers an on-call, fill-in schedule with minimum 8-hour shifts, ideal for building hands-on security experience while developing career growth within a leading national provider.

No prior experience is required; candidates must be at least 18 (21 for armed) and able to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required as a condition of employment; drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required; 18+ age (21+ for armed posts).

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors politely and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
