Job Description

We are hiring a Security Flex Officer to work at a Tech Site in San Jose, CA.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Shift: Flex - Morning / Afternoon / Evening / Overnight

Requirements

• Active Guard Card
• Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements
• Level 1 Certificate (Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force Certificate)
• Ability to conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols in a hospital environment
• Control access and egress; monitor CCTV and alarm systems; compose reports; deter criminal activity and misconduct
• Ability to submit to drug screening; TB test and vaccinations may be required due to healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds; document observations
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation and restraining individuals as necessary
• Transport patients, assist with evacuations, sound alarms, and monitor entrances/exits
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license if operating a vehicle
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in security, healthcare, military, law enforcement, or corrections
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Good communication, problem-solving, and observation skills
• Ability to mediate conflicts tactfully

Preferred Qualifications

• Military or law enforcement background
• Graduate of a Public Safety Academy
• Bachelor’s or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice
• Active military service of 8+ years or related experience
