Job summary

Security America, Inc. in Charleston, WV, is hiring full-time Security/Utility Officers to support staffing at accounts, assist with new account starts, and handle special security assignments. Candidates should be at least 18, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Strong communication and reliable transportation are required. Starting pay is $15.50 per hour with a $300 hiring bonus after 90 days of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and meet state licensing requirements if required.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages.

POSITION SUMMARY for Security/Utility Officer:*Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc.*Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include: working the site, training new officers*Work special security assignments as required.*Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during “high need” periods.Ideal candidates meeting the basic requirements for this position must:Be at least 18 years of age; Be able to work flexible schedules; Have a high school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience; Be able to pass an extensive background check including criminal history, employment verification and references, registered sex-offender search, and drivers license validation; Be drug free and able to pass a drug screen (unless undergoing documented medical treatment); Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location; Be able to communicate effectively both written and orally for the purpose of report writing and interacting with the public and emergency personnel; Be authorized to work in the U.S.; Be able to meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required.

Starting pay rate is $15.50 an hour with a $300 hiring bonus after 90 days full time.
