Job summary

Abm Industries is seeking a part-time security guard to patrol the premises, monitor CCTV, and enforce security policies. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid NYS security license, computer and typing skills, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities include access control, incident reporting, and responding to emergencies with day, evening, night, on-call shifts, and in-person work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS security/unarmed guard license.
• Proficient with computer/tablet use and typing.
• Familiarity with building security and CCTV systems.
• Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises to secure buildings and personnel.
• Monitor surveillance equipment.
• Enforce security and life-safety policies.
• Monitor access control, CCTV, and respond to emergencies.
• Remain alert to security breaches and fire safety.
• Monitor Building Fire Alarm System.
• Process access for tenants/visitors, validate IDs, log in Visitor Management System.
• Answer phones and record messages.
• Validate removal passes for tenant property leaving building.
• Prepare and submit detailed incident reports.
• Respond to tenant complaints and concerns.
