Meta is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Manager to support multiple web-security and mobile OS-security teams building scalable SAST/DAST/agent-based tooling across multi-product stacks.

You will influence the org vision, develop multi-year roadmaps, and prioritize resources to deliver complex programs while growing a high-performing team and collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent security experience.
• 10+ years in security or software engineering with 5+ years people management.
• Experience recruiting, building and leading technical teams and managers.
• Experience driving large cross-company engineering initiatives.
• Experience delivering multi-year cross-functional programs.

Product Security is the central team providing design and implementation security support to all products at Meta. The organization is responsible for enabling product groups to build secure-by-default products, preventing and detecting software vulnerabilities.The team is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Manager to support multiple web-security and mobile OS-security teams who build and deploy scalable SAST/DAST/agent-based detection and prevention tooling across multi-product technology stacks.Security Engineering Manager Responsibilities:Support the security engineering teams that build scalable tools to secure our web stack and mobile OS appsInfluence and align the organization’s vision and strategy, while engaging the team to develop and deliver specific, multi-year roadmaps, programs, and projectsEnsure prioritization, resourcing, and timely delivery of project work within a changing business environmentDefine operational metrics, key performance indicators, and service level objectives to assure the team achieves deliverablesHire, grow, and build a high performing team capable of achieving the team’s missionCollaborate and influence a wide range of cross-functional teams to develop scalable and flexible engineering solutions designed to mitigate security risksBuild, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional partners to enable the team’s ability to effectively and efficiently execute on project workBe a broad technical and process subject matter expert across the Product Security domainMinimum Qualifications:BA/BS in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience in Security10+ years of work experience in security or software engineering and 5+ years of people management experienceExperience recruiting, building, and leading technical teams and managing managers, including performance managementExperience in driving large cross-company engineering initiatives, and communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutionsExperience leading and managing complex multi-year cross-functional programsExperience developing and delivering information on program status for leadershipPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)Security domain experience in one or more of the following domains: web applications, mobile applications, distributed infrastructure, or a related fieldExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesAbout Meta:Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
