Job summary

Echelon Risk + Cyber is seeking a hands-on Manager, Security Engineering to lead a team of Senior Security Engineers within our MSSP Services. You will guide security strategy, deliver secure cloud solutions (Azure and AWS), and drive incident response across client environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years as a Senior Security Engineer, 2+ years of people management, and relevant certifications. This role requires US work authorization and a strong client-facing mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Senior Security Engineer or equivalent in managed IT/security services
• 2+ years of direct people management experience
• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of Senior Security Engineers and own performance management
• Set utilization, quality, and engagement-health targets across the team
• Review technical work, security configurations, and remediation plans for clients
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and ramp planning for new engineers
• Develop internal training, playbooks, and staff capacity planning
• Oversee incident response planning and on-call coverage
• Carry a portfolio of client engagements and enforce security policies
