Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Security Engineering in New York, NY to perform security assessments of business-initiated projects and drive adoption of security controls and best practices.

You will collaborate with technical and global teams to embed security early in initiatives and strengthen detection capabilities through improved tools and data sources. Responsibilities include reviewing client/server, cloud, web, and mobile architectures for gaps, conducting SDLC

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with 1 year in Security Engineering or
Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field with 3 years in Security Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

Review system architectures (client/server, cloud, web, mobile) to identify gaps and ensure alignment with policy and regulatory requirements.
Conduct application security risk assessments across the SDLC, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Perform secure code reviews for Java, React, and Python.
Evaluate third-party system integrations and validate security controls across platforms.
Communicate findings, risks, and security gaps to stakeholders to support remediation.
