Job summary

Alston & Bird LLP is seeking an Information Security Engineer to strengthen our security posture in a fast-paced legal environment. You will monitor security threats, respond to incidents, and work with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

The role covers managing SIEM, XDR, and vulnerability tools, conducting phishing exercises, and helping implement new security solutions while staying current with industry risks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operational security support.
• Experience with security systems (SIEM, EDR).
• Strong OS, networking and cloud knowledge.
• Certifications such as CISSP or ISSEP preferred.
• Experience in a legal or regulated environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support security operations of the firm, administer security systems and respond to alerts.
• Assist investigations of security incidents and phishing attempts.
• Provide security education to users and conduct phishing exercises.
• Maintain documentation and support security enhancements.
