Job summary

WuXi AppTec, Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to implement and maintain security systems across US/EU environments, including SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and cloud configurations. The role will investigate incidents, validate vulnerabilities, and improve detection and automation.

You will work with IT and security teams, maintain runbooks, and support audits and compliance. A hybrid, Saint Paul MN-based position with on-site presence one day per week is offered.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant experience in cyber security roles.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience as a Security Engineer.
• Certification(s) such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CySA+ are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, maintain and troubleshoot security technologies across IT environments.
• Monitor and triage security alerts and correlate logs across systems.
• Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate containment and recovery actions.
• Develop and tune security detection rules and alerting use cases.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
• Maintain secure configuration baselines for endpoints, servers and cloud resources.
• Support IAM controls including MFA, SSO and privileged access.
• Develop scripts to automate security tasks and improve workflows.
• Participate in security reviews of proposed infrastructure and cloud configurations.
• Support security audits and track remediation of findings.
