Job summary

Telos Corporation is seeking a Security Engineer to design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise security technologies in an onsite Ashburn, VA role. You will work on monitoring, remediation, hardening, and incident troubleshooting, with hands-on use of SIEM, EDR, APIs, scripting, and automation to connect platforms and cloud services.

Minimum qualifications include 3+ years in security engineering, Windows and Linux experience, and DoD 8140 readiness with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in security engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, firewalls, and IAM tools.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of network protocols, authentication, certificates, logging, and hardening.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, APIs, and automation to streamline tasks.
• Ability to document architectures and security configurations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, maintain, integrate, and improve enterprise security technologies and platforms.
• Support full lifecycle of security technologies from evaluation through retirement.
• Build integrations between security platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud services using APIs and scripting.
• Onboard and maintain security-relevant data sources; troubleshoot logging and ingestion issues.
• Develop automation to reduce manual effort and accelerate response.
• Support vulnerability management by identifying risks and validating remediation.
