Job summary

Fintech seeks a Security Analyst/Engineer to bridge security operations with product development in Tampa. You’ll protect payment processing infrastructure while embedding security features for customers and helping drive marketable security capabilities.

The role requires hands‑on security engineering, strong communication with technical and business stakeholders, and collaboration across IT, development, and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity or related field.
• 3–5 years in information security, security operations, or security engineering.
• Hands-on with SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS-like payment processing security and cloud security (Azure).
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and alerts across infrastructure and payment systems using SIEM platforms.
• Design and implement security controls for payment processing, APIs, and networks.
• Support compliance efforts, audits, and risk assessments for new technologies and third‑party integrations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to embed security features and document security posture.
