Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Security Engineer to design and implement security for our scalable infrastructure in Seattle. You will lead security initiatives and contribute to architecture, tooling, and process improvements that protect customer trust at Earth’s most customer-centric company.

You will collaborate with teams across cloud, services, and devices to detect threats, automate defenses, and harden systems while growing expertise in multiple security domains.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation experience.
• Experience performing security activities across one or more phases of the SDLC (security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, security testing).

Responsibilities

• Independently solve security problems that require novel methods or approaches.
• Develop solutions to detect / prevent security issues at scale.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation (non-internship) experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with coding/scripting in one or more languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
• Experience performing security activities across one or more phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), such as security design review, threat modeling, secure code review, and security testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
