Job summary

Shipt, a retail tech company, seeks a Security Engineer to join the Network and Endpoint Security team. You will design, maintain, and secure endpoint and network architectures and develop security automations to optimize detection and response capabilities.

The role demands 3+ years in security architecture, strong IT foundation, macOS enterprise management, and experience with EDR, PAM, DLP. You will work with SIEMs, risk frameworks, and security best practices across our environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in network or endpoint security architecture and administration.
• Prior IT role experience (network or systems) before specializing in security.
• Experience with macOS endpoint management and enterprise documentation/diagrams.
• Experience with endpoint security technologies such as EDR, PAM, and DLP.
• Experience automating reporting via security tool APIs or scripting with Python/JavaScript/Go/Bash.
• Familiar with networks, compute architectures, and tech stacks.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and log analysis.
• Foundational knowledge of NIST CSF, PCI, SOC2, HIPAA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and secure endpoint and network architectures.
• Build tailored security automations and tools to optimize detection and response.
• Implement engineering best practices and production security matter resolution.
• Maintain thorough documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Participate in design reviews and provide mentorship to colleagues.
