Job summary

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Security Engineer — Logging and Aggregation to support Cyber Primes cybersecurity, privacy, records and information management for DHRA, including DMDC and OUSD(PR). The role involves monitoring logging systems, ensuring data retention, and integrating with DoD logging standards.

Location in Alexandria, VA and Seaside, CA, with a requirement for U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance for classified duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• A Secret clearance is required when the assigned duties require classified information or SIPRNet access.

Responsibilities

• Perform the comprehensive cybersecurity tool-monitoring responsibilities defined in PWS 5.3.1.1.
• Continuously validate that systems and applications are correctly configured for logging and that appropriate data-retention policies are in place.
• Maintain weekly records of logging coverage and configuration validation and document and escalation incorrectly configured systems or environments.
• Ensure integration with DHRA Cybersecurity Service Provider logging systems to maximize data available for analysis.
• Validate adherence to DoD and DMDC logging standards and support development of organizational logging standards.
• Apply LCAT expertise in security engineering, compliance checking, troubleshooting, and the design and implementation of network and security-management capabilities to logging oversight.
