Job summary

SpaceX, based in Bastrop, TX, is seeking a Security Engineer (Infrastructure) to design, build, and operate on-premises Kubernetes clusters and secure workloads. You will automate cluster provisioning, manage compute, storage, and networking, and harden configurations to prevent threats.

The role requires collaboration with IT and security teams and is onsite in Bastrop. The ideal candidate has production Kubernetes experience, Linux administration skills, and scripting in Python or Go to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional infrastructure experience.
Experience operating on-premises Kubernetes in a production environment and Linux system administration.
Experience with Python, Go, or similar languages to automate infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate on-premises Kubernetes clusters for security services.
Automate cluster build-out, configuration, upgrades, and day-to-day operations.
Harden clusters with RBAC, policy, secrets, and secure configuration.
Respond to production incidents and drive fixes.
Document operations and advise other teams on it.
