SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer (Infrastructure) to join Information Security. You will design on-prem Kubernetes platforms for security services, and lead cluster lifecycle, capacity planning, and automation initiatives to secure the platform.

The role requires 5+ years in production infrastructure with Kubernetes, Linux administration, and scripting in Python or Go. You will work onsite in Texas and collaborate with IT, software, and security teams to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM, or 2+ years of production infra experience.
• 5+ years operating on-prem Kubernetes in production.
• 5+ years Linux system administration and Python/Go scripting for automation.
• Strong security mindset with incident response and platform hardening experience.

Responsabilités

• Design on-premises Kubernetes platforms for security services.
• Lead cluster lifecycle work: upgrades, capacity, failure domains, safe changes.
• Build automation for provisioning, configuration, and operation of the platform.
• Set standards for deployment, hardening, and secure configuration of security services.
• Harden clusters/workloads including RBAC, policy, secrets, and secure config.
• Respond to production incidents and drive durable fixes.
• Document what you run and advise other teams to keep it working.
