The Security Engineer III (infrastructure Operations) plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s information systems, networks, and critical infrastructure. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate assets by participating in all areas of information and network security, including intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability management, application security, and compliance with corporate security policies. The engineer is responsible for implementing, operating, and continuously improving a variety of enterprise security technologies—including DLP, Antivirus, IPS/IDS, Endpoint Protection, Database Activity Monitoring, and Web Application Firewalls. This position acts as a technical authority across Security Engineering, Network Engineering, and Security Operations, partnering with cross‑functional teams, internal clients, and external stakeholders. The role supports both strategic initiatives and daily operational security needs to maintain a secure, resilient, and compliant environment. It contributes directly to strengthening the organization’s security posture, improving processes, leading or participating in incident response, and enabling secure business operations.

Salary range: $80,000 - $114,000

The Security Engineer III is responsible for protecting Hyundai AutoEver America’s information systems and infrastructure by implementing, managing, and enhancing a wide range of enterprise security technologies. The role spans security engineering, network security, and security operations—supporting incident response, vulnerability management, security assessments, risk mitigation, and cross‑functional collaboration to maintain a secure and resilient environment.

Are you able to work onsite 5 days per week at Hyundai AutoEver America’s Irvine, CA headquarters?
Do you have 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity leadership experience, including ownership of enterprise security strategy, risk management, and cyber defense operations?
This role occasionally requires flexibility to support urgent business or security needs outside of standard working hours. Are you able to adjust your schedule when business priorities require it?
Have you served as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Deputy CISO, Head of Cyber Security, or equivalent senior cybersecurity executive responsible for enterprise‑wide security programs?
Have you directly led or overseen a Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, and Threat Detection program, including active involvement in managing major cyber incidents?
Have you been accountable for both defensive security functions (SOC, Blue Team, TVM) and offensive security functions (Red Team, Penetration Testing, Adversary Simulation) within the same organization?
Are you comfortable personally engaging in technical security reviews, incident response activities, vulnerability management efforts, and security architecture decisions when business needs require it?
