Job summary

Barracuda is hiring a Security Engineer II in Chelmsford, MA to design, deploy, and automate security controls across cloud and on-prem environments. You will work across cloud security posture, IAM, and security automation to reduce risk and improve auditability.

You will collaborate with Security, IT, Engineering, and Operations to implement robust controls, with a focus on automation, reporting, and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field with 2 years of security experience
• Hands-on experience deploying security tech across cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
• Knowledge of IAM concepts and tools (Entra ID, CA, PIM, MFA, CyberArk)
• Experience with CSPM/SSPM/NSPM tools (Wiz, CrowdStrike, AlgoSec)
• Scripting/automation with Python, PowerShell, SQL; Git & job schedulers
• Security dashboards with Power BI
• Intune and endpoint compliance tooling familiarity
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration
• Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and tune security technologies across Barracuda's cloud and enterprise environment.
• Build and operate CSPM, SSPM, and NSPM capabilities using Wiz, CrowdStrike, or AlgoSec.
• Onboard SaaS platforms into a security posture management solution via API integrations and service-account configurations.
• Harden IAM controls in Entra ID, including CA, PIM, MFA, and PAM provisioning.
• Administer PAM using CyberArk including account onboarding and monitoring.
• Automate recurring security reviews and drift detection using scripting and scheduling.
• Develop automated security reporting and dashboards with Python, SQL, Power BI.
• Manage endpoint security and device compliance via Microsoft Intune.
• Support break-glass and emergency-access program for resilience.
