Job summary

Amazon HealthCare Security is seeking a Security Engineer I to protect Amazon HealthCare services and infrastructure in Seattle. You will assess security risks, implement mitigations, and integrate controls into evolving systems across networks, devices, and workflows.

You will work closely with security engineers and product teams to safeguard operations and develop threat models, risk assessments, and secure deployment practices while contributing to security automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation experience.
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques including penetration testing.
• Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of network architecture, automation tools, and infrastructure.
• Perform risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in workflows.
• Implement security best practices including network security, identity management, and secure system deployment.
• Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security controls.
• Support security incident investigations related to infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain security documentation including threat models, risk assessments, and guidelines.
• Drive security automation including monitoring and alerting for key risks.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
