Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer I in Austin, TX to help safeguard applications and infrastructure at massive scale. You will work with experienced engineers to identify security risks, conduct threat analysis, and contribute to secure solutions across domains.

You will gain hands-on experience, build secure systems, and drive improvements in customer trust and the overall security posture of services you support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of web security experience (non-internship).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of web protocols, security vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software and services to identify security requirements and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct security code reviews to evaluate source code for vulnerabilities and remediation.
• Develop runbooks, automation scripts, and security tooling to improve detection and response at scale.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed security into the SDLC from design to deployment.
• Communicate security risks clearly to teams and leadership.
