Spotify is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the Detection and Response organization. You will turn threat intelligence and analyst feedback into effective detections and investigation workflows, partnering with the detection infrastructure squad to secure Spotify’s global environment.

You will work in a distributed team valuing curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning, with a focus on scaling security across millions of users and products.

Formación

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, threat detection, or related work.
• Experience with security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR or similar tools.
• Ability to write code or use automation to analyze telemetry and automate investigations.

Responsabilidades

• Identify detection opportunities and define telemetry requirements.
• Develop, test, tune, and maintain detections across endpoint, identity, cloud, and SaaS.
• Investigate alerts, assess impact, and participate in containment and remediation.
• Build repeatable investigation workflows and runbooks for triage and response.
• Improve threat hunting and use internal/external intelligence to enhance detections.
• Create AI workflows for detection development while ensuring appropriate human oversight.
• Measure detection effectiveness and tune coverage to balance value and workload.
• Research threats using SIEM/EDR/SOAR and validate security outcomes.
• Share findings clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
