Job summary

Spotify is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the Detection and Response organization in New York. You will identify detection opportunities, develop detections across multiple environments, and investigate alerts to protect Spotify’s platform and users.

You will work with the detection infrastructure squad to build signals, improve proactive threat-hunting capabilities, and create AI-enabled workflows while maintaining human oversight and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, threat detection, or closely related work.
• Ability to write code or use automation to analyze security telemetry and build investigation workflows.
• Experience with security platforms such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Identify detection opportunities and define telemetry requirements for signals.
• Develop, test, tune, and maintain detections across endpoint, identity, cloud, SaaS, email, and other environments.
• Investigate alerts, determine security impact, and participate in containment and remediation.
