Position: Security Engineer - Crypto Assessments within PNC's DATA PROTECTION organization, based in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a remote position, work performed from a confidential home location approved by PNC. Availability may vary by geographic location.

Note: PNC will not sponsor employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this role.

Role Responsibilities

• Support Tokenization & Structured Data Teams by applying security concepts, designing, building, and maintaining technology solutions.
• Translate high-level architectural designs into detailed implementation plans, including sizing, integration, onboarding, and operationalization.
• Evaluate patches, updates, and maintenance impacts, ensuring solutions align with standards through governance processes.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for implementation, configuration, design, and engineering, and execute build and deployment tasks.
• Collaborate with operational teams for smooth transition and ongoing support of technology solutions.
• Provide engineering support in a production environment and seek opportunities to expand knowledge and expertise.

Core Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of structured data, database principles, and data desensitization methods such as masking, synthetic data, and tokenization.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Excel, Tableau, and ServiceNow.
• Experience working with business teams on requirements and process improvements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects and collaborate across teams.

Additional Information

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience. Certifications are not mandatory but may enhance candidacy. Salary range is $65,000 to $187,200, with incentives based on performance and location.
