Google is seeking a Security Engineer to join its team focused on safeguarding datacenters and devices. You will scope and perform comprehensive security reviews of network devices deployed in Google data centers, develop threat models, and define security requirements for hardware products.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 2 years of experience in security assessments or threat modeling, and hands-on practice in security engineering and coding in general purpose languages.
Our Security team works to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. Security Engineers work with network equipment and actively monitor our systems for attacks and intrusions. In this role, you will also work with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
In this role, you will scope and perform comprehensive security reviews of network devices that are going to be deployed in Google datacenters. You will develop and refine threat models, risk assessments, and define security requirements for hardware products entering Google’s data centers.
You will interact with different development teams and external vendors in different time zones to drive security improvements.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
