Job summary

Cisco is seeking a security operations professional to lead the design and deployment of security components across cloud and on-prem environments. You will develop automated incident response playbooks to improve MTTR and perform deep-dive forensics and threat hunting.

Collaborating with DevOps and engineering, you’ll remediate vulnerabilities and provide architectural guidance while mentoring junior engineers to strengthen Cisco's security posture and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in a SOC or security-focused engineering role.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and Vulnerability Management in hybrid environments.
• Proficiency with current security frameworks and secure coding principles.
• Experience building or maintaining security tools within a formal SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of security components across cloud and on-prem environments to intercept emerging risks.
• Develop and refine automated incident response playbooks to improve MTTR and efficiency.
• Perform deep-dive forensic investigations and threat hunting to uncover stealthy adversaries.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide architectural guidance to strengthen Cisco's security posture.
