Job summary

Flexport is seeking a security engineer to own and enhance identity and endpoint controls across the fleet. You will implement device policies, strengthen EDR coverage, and automate routine security tasks to scale with our growing organization.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in enterprise security, hands-on endpoint management experience, and fluency with identity protocols. You will collaborate with IT and security teams in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in corporate, enterprise, or IT security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with modern endpoint management and EDR tooling (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Intune, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Working knowledge of identity protocols (SAML, OIDC, SCIM) and major identity providers (Okta, Entra, Google Workspace).
• Comfort writing real code or scripts (Python, Go) to automate manual, ticket-driven work.
• Clear, practical communicator who can explain tradeoffs to engineers, sales, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Identity & access: advance our identity posture with MFA, SSO, and least-privilege access.
• Endpoint & device lifecycle: write policy as code and manage config across macOS/Windows.
• SaaS posture: reduce SaaS risk with SSPM tooling and manage configurations for core tools.
• Automation & enablement: automate routine security tasks and write runbooks to scale the team.
