  • Develop and implement cloud security controls to protect enterprise systems, applications, networks, and sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, systems engineers, infrastructure teams, software developers, and cybersecurity professionals to integrate security requirements into cloud-based solutions.
  • Support secure cloud migration initiatives by evaluating existing environments, identifying security risks, and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Apply security engineering principles and compliance controls to ensure cloud architectures and deployments align with organizational security policies, standards, and mission requirements.
  • Evaluate cloud security configurations, access controls, network security measures, and infrastructure protections to strengthen overall security posture.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations regarding cloud defense strategies, security architecture improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Support cybersecurity assessments, security requirements analysis, and the implementation of security controls across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Identify emerging cloud security risks and recommend engineering solutions to address vulnerabilities and improve infrastructure resilience.
  • Work independently to manage assigned responsibilities, resolve technical challenges, and support cybersecurity objectives with minimal oversight.
  • Prepare and deliver cloud security assessments, technical findings, risk evaluations, and security recommendations to leadership and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud security considerations are incorporated into technical and operational decisions.
Required
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • IAM Level III certification in accordance with applicable DoD cybersecurity workforce requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution, preferably in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in cybersecurity, cloud security engineering, infrastructure security, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud architectures, cloud security design, and cloud defense within environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience applying cloud security engineering principles and compliance controls during system migration, architecture design, development, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security concepts, infrastructure protection, security controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to evaluate cloud architectures and technical security requirements and provide practical engineering recommendations.
  • Experience identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential risks within cloud-based environments.
  • Understanding of cloud identity and access management, network security, data protection, and secure infrastructure configurations.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to integrate cybersecurity requirements into cloud engineering and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated professional capable of working independently and managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
