Job summary

Deploy is seeking a Security Engineer to safeguard sensitive company information and drive a strong security program. You will work across teams to protect data, manage incidents, and implement governance controls in a fast-growing AI startup environment.

The role involves security operations, risk assessments, incident responses, and ongoing project maintenance, with a focus on building a robust security posture for AI deployment and model governance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with security systems (firewalls, IDS, anti-virus, authentication, log management).
• Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly.
• Experience with network security and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for protection of computer systems, networks and information.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Partner with engineering teams on internal and customer-facing security initiatives while ensuring data accessibility, quality, and reliability.
• Analyze security posture, identify gaps, and work with teams to ensure strong operational security via tests.
• Design computer security architecture and develop cyber security designs.
• Write reports with assessment findings and recommendations for security enhancement.
• Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data handling related to your role.
• Adhere to policies and procedures for protecting information assets.
• Report actual or suspected security violations to appropriate authorities.
