Job summary

The Worlds Identity Company is seeking a knowledgeable Security Engineer to join the Advanced Threat Protection team within Customer Identity. This role will research how attackers will use AI against identity systems and build AI-powered defenses for our products, infrastructure, and customers' tenants.

As part of a globally distributed security team, you will help shape a forward-looking threat landscape, design robust architectures, and mentor engineers while driving cross-functional security

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering experience and proven leadership.
• Hands-on development experience with Go or equivalent.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and shaping multi-quarter strategy.
• Hands-on AI/ML security experience (attacks, defenses).
• Knowledge of AWS/Azure security and Kubernetes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; remote teamwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Research and lead how we can use AI to protect customer tenants - proactive hardening and rapid incident response.
• Research and build protections against novel AI attacks on identity systems and tenants.
• Partner with identity security teams to strengthen tenant security posture with AI-assisted defenses.
• Translate emerging AI threats into a 12-24 month forward-looking protection plan and build tooling to implement it.
• Review and harden Auth0's AI security offering, identify gaps and mitigations.
• Collaborate with a globally distributed security team to ship protections for customer tenants.
• Establish and execute a long-term engineering and threat research roadmap for Advanced Threat Protection aligned with goals.
• Own high-impact security architecture designs across Auth0 and Customer Identity infrastructure.
• Drive cross-functional security strategies with engineering, product, and enterprise security leadership.
• Mentor and elevate Senior engineers, fostering technical excellence and leadership.
