Job summary

Cloudflare seeks a Security Engineer to design agentic security tooling and open-source reference implementations. You will work with Workers and related services, build hands-on labs, and deliver workshops for customers and partners.

You will contribute to external content and collaborate with product teams to align security architecture with the roadmap. Based in Austin, TX with travel to support sessions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software engineering, shipping and operating production systems
• Hands-on experience building labs, learning platforms, or developer training environments
• Strong design judgment for learning experiences (scope/sequencing)
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, or similar for distributed/event-driven systems
• Experience with LLm-based systems, agent orchestration, and evaluation
• Experience with serverless stacks like Workers/VO as above
• Security-focused development practices and secure SDLC
• Published technical writing or open-source contributions

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic security workflows and tooling, including multi-agent orchestration and evaluation harnesses
• Release internal harnesses and orchestrations as open-source references
• Implement on Workers, Durable Objects, Workflows, Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Agents SDK
• Define labs scope and sequencing, including failure modes and scaffolding
• Build and operate lab infra with isolation, provisioning, and teardown
• Run hands-on workshops for customers and partners
• Document and package workshop formats for reuse by engineers
• Present the architecture to customers in briefings and talks
• Author technical deep-dives and architecture write-ups
• Coordinate with Product/Engineering to align external content with the roadmap
