The Security Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of ComplyAuto's applications and data. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, the Security Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain security measures that protect our infrastructure and data. This role will bring a strong background in security engineering, familiarity operating in a SaaS environment, proficiency securing applications, and experience deploying and maintaining security tools and technologies to support the security program.

  • Review security alerts, tune SIEM, and triage security incidents
  • Monitor vulnerability management platform, drive remediation efforts
  • Manage security controls for applications
  • Design, implement and maintain cloud security environment
  • Maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures
  • Perform security reviews of third-party applications
  • Participate in incident response and disaster recovery tests
  • Assist in artifact collection for periodic assessments
  • Communicate security requirements and risks

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; 2+ years of experience in a security engineering or security operations role; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient with security tools and technologies
  • Experience securing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with security operations, triage, response and investigations
  • Experience with deployment and management of security technologies, such as
  • IAM, EDR/NGAV, DLP, SIEM, SASE, CASB, and Vulnerability Management
  • Understanding of cloud networking and firewalls, WAFs
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate complex technical concepts
  • to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with industry security and compliance frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF,
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and the kill chain
  • Experience working in a SaaS technology company preferred
  • Proficiency in scripting to automate security tasks or developing IaC preferred
  • Security Certifications, such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK preferred
