The work

As a Cybersecurity Code Review Engineer, you will use security and software engineering skills to review code and produce practical findings for AI training. The work covers debugging, secure development, code quality, and backend performance across varied codebases.

• Debug and resolve software bugs and security vulnerabilities.
• Build or improve features with Python 3, Java, Rust, Go, C++, or TypeScript.
• Refactor older code to improve maintainability, security, and performance.
• Audit codebases, conduct penetration testing, and assess vulnerabilities.
• Support backend development and optimize applications for scalability and security.
• Document technical findings and recommend improvements for AI training data.

What it pays and takes

Prior AI experience can help but is not required.

• Pay: output-based compensation, with a listed range of $30 to $100 per hour; final task terms may vary by project.
• Hours: less than 20 hours per week, with an expected commitment of about 15 hours.
• Work type: flexible, part-time individual contractor work.
• Language: English.
• Location: remote, open to applicants in Brazil, India, and the United States.
• Security skills: penetration testing, security audits, vulnerability assessment, secure software development lifecycles, and awareness of current threats.
• Engineering skills: writing, debugging, and optimizing complex code in at least one listed programming language; backend development, algorithms, bug fixing, and code refactoring.
• Communication: ability to explain complex technical findings clearly in writing and conversation.
