Position Overview:

This role requires a proactive and adaptable cybersecurity professional who excels in communication and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of modern security practices and technologies, combined with a service-focused attitude and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Effectively communicate complex technical information across various levels of the organization, including IT teams and business users; able to navigate strong personalities with professionalism and tact.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity concepts including malware analysis, threat detection, intrusion prevention, encryption, firewalls, and authentication protocols.
  • Solid understanding of securing Microsoft Windows environments (servers, workstations, databases) and how virtualization and wireless systems impact cybersecurity.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of security solutions such as SIEM, MDR, vulnerability scanners, privileged access management (PAM), anti-malware tools, email security, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong ability to evaluate data, assess security risks, and make informed, effective decisions.
  • Flexible and service-oriented, capable of adjusting to evolving business priorities.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Self-driven and resourceful, with a strong initiative to identify and implement improvements.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a dynamic environment with limited supervision.
  • Actively keeps up with the latest developments in cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices.
  • Willingness to exceed expectations to overcome obstacles and deliver results.

Work Conditions:

  • Individual contributor role with no direct reports.
  • On-site presence required five days a week; parking provided, and attractive on-site benefits are available.
  • Quiet office environment with standard visual demands (close-up and distance vision, ability to refocus).
  • Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM, with occasional after-hours responsibilities tied to system alerts or urgent incidents.
