Job description

Keep penetration-testing engagements clear, authorized, and moving—from the customer’s request through reporting, remediation questions, and retesting.

The role
Give customers and testers a clear path through delivery.

You will coordinate the operational side of penetration-testing engagements: intake, scoping inputs, written authorization, schedules, responsibilities, status communication, deliverables, and retesting.

You will work closely with technical practitioners without representing unverified technical conclusions. Your job is to surface missing decisions, keep commitments visible, protect scope boundaries, and make sure customers know what happens next.

Collect the request context, systems, contacts, deadline, access needs, restrictions, and evidence expectations required for scoping.

Protect authorization and scope

Track agreements, written authorization, Rules of Engagement, responsibilities, escalation paths, and stop conditions before testing begins.

Keep delivery visible

Maintain schedules and status communication, coordinate customer and tester dependencies, and escalated risks before they disrupt the engagement.

Close the loop

Coordinate report delivery, findings review, customer follow-up, remediation questions, eligible retesting, and completion records.

What you will do
Turn many moving parts into a controlled engagement.
What we are looking for
Operational discipline with security context.
  • Experience coordinating customer-facing security assessments, technical consulting engagements, or similarly controlled professional services.
  • Ability to manage scope, schedules, dependencies, documentation, and several active stakeholders without losing important details.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with customers, technical practitioners, and business stakeholders.
  • Good judgment around authorization, sensitive information, access, evidence, escalation, and the limits of nontechnical conclusions.
  • Ability to recognize missing decisions and drive them to a named owner without inventing technical answers.
  • Relevant degrees, project-management credentials, and security certifications are welcome but are not required.
What success looks like
Every engagement has clear owners, decisions, and next steps.
  • Testing does not start until the required scope, authorization, contacts, and stop conditions are complete.
  • Customer and tester dependencies are visible early enough to protect the agreed schedule.
  • Status updates identify decisions, risks, owners, and deadlines without obscuring the technical facts.
  • Reports, review meetings, follow-up questions, and eligible retests reach documented completion.
Employment, location, and authorization.

Hiring process

We focus on controlled delivery and communication.

  • A practical and final conversation using past situations to discuss scope, authorization, delivery risks, communication, and customer coordination.

Employment is contingent on completion of a job-related background check conducted in accordance with applicable law. Applicants who need a reasonable accommodation may email careers@trespasssec.com .
