Unifi Security LLC is seeking a Security Employee Screener (A-Mex) for DTW. This full-time, non-exempt role covers morning, overnight and evening shifts with paid training. The base pay rate is $15.00 per hour, and employees may enjoy flight privileges after 30 days and comprehensive benefits.

The candidate will perform access control and screenings, respond to alarms, and document incidents to maintain the safety of passengers, personnel, and airport facilities.

Responsibilities

• Access Control & Screening including identifications inspections and screening visitors.
• Conduct random security inspections and screenings.
• Patrol premises and document concerns from tenants, employees, and the public.
• Prepare clear reports on security incidents and daily activities.
• Report incidents and document suspicious activities to management.
• Respond to alarms and communicate via security radios.
• Perform duties in a safe, secure, and compliant manner.

Job Summary:

• Weekly pay for hourly employees (may vary specific to state regulations)

Job Duties:

• Access Control & Screening, which includes Inspection of identifications, vehicle decals, and screen visitors, couriers, and contractors before entry.
• Conduct random security inspections to employee body scans, bag checks, and ETD (Explosive Trace Detection) screenings.
• Patrol premises, respond to security-related inquiries, and document concerns from tenants, employees, and the public.
• Prepare clear and concise reports on security incidents and daily activities.
• Report security incidents and document criminal or suspicious activities, notifying management of incidents and emergencies.
• Response to building emergency alarms, including fire, elevator entrapments, and intercom alerts.
• Management and communication via radios and other security-related equipment.
• Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards
• Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to constantly lift, move up, push, pull up to 70 lbs; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.

Working conditions:

• Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
