Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Supervisor of Security and Emergency Services for its Charlestown community. You will supervise security operations, oversee safety programs, and coordinate with the SES Manager to maintain preparedness plans.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security of the community through gatehouse, patrols, access control and registrations.
• Monitor safety programs including department inspections and hazard communications.
• Update and maintain Emergency Preparedness Plans with SES Manager.
• Ensure completion of Incident Reports and daily shift reports; respond to service calls.
• Assist in hiring, training, and coaching of employees.
• Establish schedules, review timesheets, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide leadership, supervision, motivation, and clear communication to staff.

Join our team as the Supervisor of Security and Emergency Services for our gated retirement community. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring program and procedural compliance, overseeing quality assurance and improvement, conducting investigations, providing training, and offering administrative support.

• Compensation: commensurate with experience, range $26.00- $28.00.

How you will make an impact

• Responsible for the security of the community through the use of gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs
• Monitor safety programs to include; Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed
• Partner with SES Manager to update and maintain the Emergency Preparedness Plans
• Ensure completion of Incident Reports, daily shift reports and responds to calls for service
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, counseling of employees
• Establish schedules, reviews and approves timesheets, completes performance evaluations
• Provide daily leadership, supervision, motivation, and communication to direct and indirect reports

What you will need

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public safety supervisory (Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement) or comparable supervisory experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Responder role
• Current valid driver’s license
