Job summary

Cerasus, LLC. is seeking a Security Director for 1st Shift in Indianapolis to oversee security operations for a client site and coordinate cross-functional teams. You will supervise site staff, coach personnel, and ensure adherence to training and performance standards.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory experience, and the ability to handle crises at client sites. This full-time position includes weekends and shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of verifiable supervisory and or leadership experience.
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
• Capable of scheduling subordinate officers effectively each week.
• Security Director will be required to cover shifts within reason if needed.
• Security Director will be required to handle all immediate call-offs from employees under their supervision.
• Communicates staffing needs to Cerasus Management which may include assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates.
• Assures that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.)
• Assures that employee grievances are heard with help from appropriate Cerasus HR Department
• Able to: Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate delivery of security services for assigned client.
• Act as liaison between customers, Cerasus Management and security officers.
• Supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition and discipline within empowerment range.
• Ensure officers receive training and performance evaluations.
• Communicate staffing needs and interview quality candidates with Cerasus Management.
• Manage crisis situations calmly and efficiently at client sites.
• Maintain coverage by scheduling subordinate officers and handling call-offs.
• Support HR in handling employee grievances and disciplinary actions.
