Job summary

Savannah River National Laboratory seeks a Cyber Security Analyst specializing in data sanitization and spill cleanup. You will manage the remediation of classified or sensitive data spills across network enclaves, ensuring strict adherence to federal handling procedures and clear communication with technical teams, end users, and management.

The role requires meticulous documentation, incident timelines, and coordination with the Security Incident Program Manager.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 4-6 years of cybersecurity, system administration, or digital forensics with focus on media sanitization or security incident remediation.

Responsibilities

• Contain and isolate data spills; restrict access to affected systems and shares.
• Sanitize and remediate media per NIST SP 800-88 and site policies.
• Investigate incidents with timelines and post-cleanup reports.
• Coordinate containment with the Security Incident Program Manager and leadership.
• Audit logs using SIEMs and endpoint management tools to purge spilled data.
