Job summary

myBridge Corporation is seeking a contractor on-site in Washington, DC to design and maintain scalable pipelines for security data. You will integrate data from SIEMs, cloud services, and network devices, and build workflows for ingestion, transformation, and enrichment to support threat hunting and incident response.

The role requires strong SQL and Python, experience with Kafka/Spark, and familiarity with cloud security across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed processing.
• Knowledge of security logs, event schemas, and enterprise telemetry sources.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or IBM QRadar.
• Experience with Apache Kafka, Spark, and cloud data services.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable pipelines for security event and telemetry data.
• Integrate data from SIEM platforms, endpoint tools, firewalls, identity systems, cloud services, and network devices.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, normalization, and enrichment workflows.
• Build datasets for threat hunting, security analytics, and incident investigations.
• Improve data quality, completeness, and processing performance.
• Support SIEM engineering by optimizing data ingestion and search capabilities.
• Develop automated log parsing, enrichment, and data validation processes.
• Work with security analysts to improve data availability and detection requirements.
• Implement secure data access controls, encryption, retention policies, and audit logging.
• Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot ingestion delays, failures, and anomalies.
• Optimize storage and processing costs for high-volume security datasets.
• Document data architecture, pipeline dependencies, and operational procedures.
