Harbert International is seeking a Security Coordinator for the International Group located in Birmingham, Alabama. The candidate will report directly to the Facility Security Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Manage administrative activities related to security clearances for employees, including all security and security-related training.
- Uphold strict document handling, control, and tracking procedures.
- Request Subcontract DD254s and review, track, monitor, and distribute all contract DD254s.
- Assist in performing self-inspections as required by the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA).
- Assist the FSO in developing security briefings and other security training materials.
- Monitor, track, and manage National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) accounts, among others.
- Process VARs and ECCs.
- Prepare, issue, and maintain the distribution of employee/visitor ID badges for BLHI Campus Buildings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Security Officer.
Requirements:
- Must be a citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the US Government.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
Preferences:
- Government-related experience (e.g., US Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, Department of Defense, Department of State).
- Experience with DISS, personnel clearance processing, database functions including e-QIP and SWFT.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead.
- Ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.
- Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required.
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, file, and perform specialized skills.
- High level of concentration necessary in a busy office environment.
