Job summary

FEDITC, LLC is seeking a Security Control Assessor to support RMF cybersecurity at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with TS/SCI clearance and an AS in an IT-related field.

The role involves analyzing RMF packages, developing risk assessment reports, and reviewing CISPs and satellite communications requests. Prior DoD assessor experience and Space Force familiarity are highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience implementing, monitoring, and assessing RMF security controls.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience as a Security Control Assessor for a DoD agency is highly desired.
  • Experience with U.S. Space Force or USAF Space Command systems is highly desirable.

Overview

FEDITC is seeking a Security Control Assessor to support development, implementation, management, and maintenance of a Risk Management Framework Cybersecurity Program at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, providing cybersecurity services, conducting technical assessments, and participating in technical investigations. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, assess, validate, and provide recommendations on cybersecurity RMF packages to support assessment and accreditation of emerging cybersecurity capabilities and methodologies.
  • Assist in developing and delivering Cyber Risk Assessment reports.
  • Review requests for use of Commercial Internet Service Providers (CISPs) and assist, providing recommendations to the government on the quality of the submission.
  • Review requests for use of Commercial Satellite Communication and assist, providing recommendations to the government on the quality of the submission.
  • Schedule and attend meetings and conferences to support cybersecurity assessments and processes.
  • Review the Evaluated/Approved Products List (E/APL) to ensure tools requested for use within the Space Authorization Boundary are certified for Space and DoD/US intelligence information systems and applications and provide recommendations to the government.
  • Provide assistance in analyzing the results of system scans and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to support the government’s management of vulnerabilities and ensure policy compliance.
Qualifications

Education
  • An AS degree in an IT‑related field is required.
  • An advanced degree is highly desired.
Certifications
  • Security+ CE or equivalent is required.
  • Other cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Authorization Professional, Systems Security Certified Practitioner, etc. are highly desired.
Security Clearance
  • Active Top‑Secret SCI Security Clearance is required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC.
